As the blur of crimson shadows and shining white faded away, the Wolf found himself sprawled beneath his camouflaged cloak. His skull pounded and his mind thoughts drifted like petals on the wind, but he dimly recalled falling and a wall of ivory charging to meet him, followed by an impact of white fire that crushed the breath from his lungs.
